Overview
Aquilo primarily uses local storage rather than cookies to store data in your browser. This policy explains what we store, why, and how it affects you.
Local Storage We Use
The Aquilo web application uses local storage to:
- Keep you logged in: Authentication token so you stay signed in across browser sessions
- Remember your preferences: Filter selections for the job search view
This data remains until you log out or clear your browser data.
Cookies
We use no persistent cookies in the Aquilo web application. Authentication is handled via JWT tokens stored in local storage.
During Google sign-in, a short-lived state cookie is used server-side only for the duration of the OAuth redirect flow. This cookie is not accessible to the client and is discarded after the flow completes.
Analytics
We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service on this site or in the application. No tracking scripts are loaded.
What We Don’t Use
We do not use:
- Advertising cookies or pixels
- Third-party tracking for marketing
- Social media tracking
- Cross-site profiling
Your Choices
Clearing Local Storage
You can clear local storage at any time through your browser settings. This will log you out of Aquilo and reset any saved preferences.
Blocking Storage
Most browsers allow you to block or clear site data. Blocking local storage will prevent Aquilo from functioning, as it is required for authentication.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when we add new features or change how we store data. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
